Are your ready for another dream beach wedding?
Lynman Woo and Jonathan Merten met in the quiet rural town of Hanover (NH), and under its unique spell they fell in love. When they decided to get married, they wanted to recreate the same whimsical charm of the place, and add some more romantic vibe. So, they chose to have a beach wedding. The Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven, Connecticut, provided the perfect spot for their dream wedding. They had it all there – stunning ocean views, a picturesque lighthouse, a charming old carousel… What better place there could have been for throwing an unforgettable party to celebrate their love?!
Lyn and Jon’s successful careers and love for adventure had taken them far away from home (they live in Singapore), so the couple had to organize the wedding from afar. Lynman’s airy column sheath wedding dress was custom-made by an Etsy designer. And she looked stunning in it! The bride’s florist created a whimsical flower crown for her long veil, using white, yellow and cream blooms and green leaves, and adding a touch of grey. Jonathan picked an elegant suit in light grey and a white shirt, with a contrasting black tie.
The young couple wanted their wedding to be casual but with plenty of vibrant, fun and lively colors, so they chose a palette of yellow, coral and gray. The color exuberance was introduced lavishly at the wedding venue and was rivaled only by all the smiles and tears of joy of family and friends.
Lyn and Jon said their ‘I do’-s right on the beach and sealed their love with an ocean breeze kiss.
The wedding photographer, Donna Cheung Photography, captured the event from the beach ceremony to the indoor reception filled with bright colors.
